The "weathermen cannot predict the weather next week, how can they predict it 100 years from now?!" makes one sound very foolish.
Climate and weekly weather reports are two different things.
Climate is a measure of the average pattern of variation in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, atmospheric particle count and other meteorological variables in a given region over long periods of time.
Weather is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy.
So when one throws away and/or straight up ignores science simply because their weatherman got something off last week, one is
a.) outing his or her own skewed biases
b.) outing himself or herself as completely misunderstanding the purpose of weather reports vs. how climatology affects every living thing on this planet. If one does not understand the differences in those definitions, then he/she is already gone.
So please, stop saying it.
