Only Texas and OU have no fear if things go bad... and things are headed South fast. the Big Joke (12) really has nothing to offer anyone out there worth a damn anymore......AND, there isn't a decent team left to really improve it. Gone are the Days telling recruits, hey, you'll get a chance to play in front of Huge Crowds, NOT.

I cringe when I look at the Home Schedule anymore... No Nebraska, or Missouri, an A&M, not even a Colorado (Don't laugh, the have won a NC at least compared to a few others).

GONE! are the day's of playing in Big nice Stadiums anymore in front of HUGE crowds. all that's left in this Conference is nothing but Wac type of teams that a Power Conference would want, except 2 teams. I'll personally be glad when it finally dies, because this Conference is a SH*t Hole!

And we (Texas and Oklahoma are swimming in it)....Until then?

No worse than the ACC in 1993 and 1999 when Florida State won national titles. Telling recruits that they'll play for championships is something we may soon be in a position to do regardless of conference.

Hook 'em

Im pretty sure any conference would take us.... and even if we couldnt take the LHN it wouldnt matter b/c we would get PAID again to drop it since the contract is with espn..... and if we went to the sec I dont think we would have to drop it since the sec and espn are partners.... but thanks for playing

Was this supposed to be a serious question? NU has a big nice stadium. Missouri's stadium and fans are a joke. CU hasn't been relevant in football for 15 years. A&M expanded their stadium after they left the conference, and have returned to the irrelevant status they enjoyed for 50 years before Johnny Eight Ball.

Which stadium is so bad? TCU improved their facilities and BU has a brand new stadium. The fans at both ISU and Kstate are good. KU is an ugly step sister in football, but they are a basketball school (see Kentucky, Duke, Indiana, for examples of this in other P5 conferences).

The big 12 contract is close to the other power 5 conference pay outs. I could see the Longhorns winning the national championship in the next five years and everybody saying ACC or pick another conference is wounded and going to fold.

Yea you would have to drop it, and the SEC and ESPN being partners have nothing to do with Texas, basically none of the power 3 (SEC, B1G, PAC) will take Texas with LHN, so it'll be either independence or ACC or rot in the big 12.

Hey Gator fan. You have absolutely know freaking idea what would happen. You are a new money asshole. We are blood bloods. Texas decides what it wants in case you haven't figured it out yet.

The SEC is happy with Aggy, they settled for what they could get. The PAC would add Texas in a heart beat, I hope that never happens, the B1G would take Texas and ND with their TV deals if they could pick up both in all sports, the ACC would take Texas as well....the LHN won't be an issue...

How naive of you... the sec and LHN are BOTH run by espn..... why would espn want to cut one of their own products just to appease the sec..... especially when the sec network is basically owned by espn as well? You dont think espn wouldnt be able to push their weight around to allow it to stay?

And fwiw - LHN or not, we dont need to money or the exposure.... and ALL of the big 3 would jizz their pants at the chance to add Texas to the fold for many different reasons, and they would be willing to work with the LHN in some ways to help make it happen... in case you forgot - MONEY talks in CFB, and NOBODY has more than Texas... and every other team wants a chance to have some of that pie brough tto them and their tables...
And "rot" in the big 12? really? lmao.. you are just another sec homer with cock in your mouth for the conference. In about 3 years the sec isnt going to be much of anything anymore after they realize the BCS trash that helped them no longer exists and that string of NC games goes poof.... saw it this year.... will see more next year... but hey, be proud - you are a gator.... and yall werent even relevant in the CFB landscape until the 90's or so.. btw - how many players from your last NC game are currently doing time or being tried for murder?

Because if they want Texas in the SEC they would have to appease the SEC, and no school specific network would ever fly in this conference....and it's funny you think because we're in partnership with ESPN that they can put whoever they want in this conference, this conference is run and operated by the commissioner and the 14 university presidents, so good luck getting that unanimous vote to get Texas in with the LHN.

Gator, I don't think Texas will ever be in the $EC. The $EC isn't a good fit for Texas academically. If/when the Big 12 dissolves, Texas can pick where they want to go. There are several conferences that would be a good fit for UT, and the $EC isn't at the top of The University's list.
