Cliffs Notes: Texas football coach continues to go into the batter's box and swing on available defensive tackles. After kicking the tires on Oregon defensive lineman Johnny Bowens III, Sarkisian flipped Jermayne Lole from Oklahoma to Texas.

Resume: OU Daily wrote this after Lole committed in April: "Lole began his college career with Arizona State in 2018 and tallied 122 tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles in three seasons with the Sun Devils. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder missed the 2021 season with an injury before transferring to Louisville and missing the bulk of 2022 with another injury. Lole returned to the field in 2023 with the Cardinals and recorded 19 tackles, five for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 12 appearances and nine starts. Lole, who will be playing his seventh season of college football, will pair his experience with the likes of sixth-year defensive tackles Da'Jon Terry and Davon Sears."

In addition, Lole started in nine games and tallied 13 total pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

Evaluation: Lole is a 6-foot-3, 310-pound nose tackle with a lot of experience. He has been good enough to play for two Power 5 programs and was one of two interior defensive lineman acquired by Oklahoma during the spring transfer portal season.

Why it matters: Sarkisian has wanted depth on the defensive line and he has a veteran player who should instantly land in the rotation.

Expectations: Expect Lole to find himself in the two-deep. He should be in the mix for instant playing time in the fall.
