So you click on a social media story, thinking you've landed on a legitimate news site. But watch out, you might be visiting a fake news outlet published by progressive democrats.
A national progressive political organization has tried to disguise themselves as local and unbiased news sites in several battleground states. Five websites launched in April appear at first glance to be local news sites but in reality they're part of a strategic effort to steer voters towards democrats in key states. The fake news sites appear to be from Arizona, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. These fake newspapers print articles slamming Republican candidates then create FaceBook ads for democrats based on this content.
Apparently there are thousands of propaganda sites like this masterminded by a group called American Independent, masquerading as news.
