I enjoyed it when they commissioned the Cruiser USS San Jacinto. I read that there are two Colt .45 Wheel guns built into the wall of the Captain's Stateroom - under glass. They are labeled "A gift from the People of TEXAS...In case of Main battery failure, break glass." When San Jacinto visits Port of Houston, she salutes USS Texas as she passes. Alternatively, she flies the UT and Aggie flags underneath The National Ensign.
