The 2nd half of the 2010s should be colored Burnt Orange. In the 3 major sports, the Longhorns are being led by youth. Think about it. Football...basketball...baseball. Each has a roster with underclass stars.

Heard...Jefferson...Warren...the Johnson Boys...Boyd...Freeman...Burt, Omenihu...Wheeler...Hill...just to name a few. Johnston, Mayes, Cooper, Barrera, Cantu, Baker, Boswell, Clemens and more. And after this year’s basketball senior class departs, the basketball team will also be primarily populated by underclassmen: Davis, Roach, Mack, Barnett, hopefully Dickerson and Smart's first full recruiting class.

If you can't get excited about the next 4-5 years of Longhorn sports, you might want check to make sure you still have a pulse!

So far, pretty impressed with coaches Strong and Smart (admittedly too soon to really judge either). Recruiting is solid for both and hopefully both programs will be knocking on the championship door in the coming years.

Augie's Augie, and just when you think maybe he's lost his touch, he pulls a rabbit out of a hat. Patterson's made two home run hires, so I feel pretty good about baseball if/when Augie decides he's had enough.
