Texas doing the little things

Two small things on Saturday but they speak to Texas having smart players or being well-coached.

Ty’Anthony Smith gets the huge pick right before half. And instead of trying to make a hero play on the return because it wasn’t there, he just smartly and quietly steps out of bounds and doesn’t risk a fumble.

Will Stone: 8 kickoffs - 5 touchbacks. On Florida’s 3 kickoff returns, the Gators got 49 total yards with a long of 20.

There was a lot to dislike about the Charlie Strong's teams. But I contend one of the WORST things was Strong’s teams was after the offense would score a TD after a good drive and then immediately give up a long KO return to the 50. I even had a term for it: CSS - Charlie Strong special.

what's going on with the senate races in Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada?

So the Republican candidates in each of these 3 states were leading by about the same margin Trump was heading into around midnight Tuesday night. Then, they called the election for Trump. Since that point, the democrat senate candidate suddenly started catching up and even surpassed the Republican by a small amount.
I suspect fraud. They have extra dem ballots ready to cheat but saw no point doing it for president after the race was called for Trump so quickly. Not worth the risk. But went ahead with the extra ballots for dem senators in the wee early morning hours in order to keep the senate from becoming 55 or 56 for the Republicans. This helps set the dems up to retake the senate in 2026. Cheating. It doesn't make sense for these dem candidates to suddenly surge past their Republican opponents like that during the early morning hours and throughout Wednesday.

Peptide Overview?

Your body makes peptides. They’re strings of amino acids. As we age, our body’s natural production of essential amino acids decreases. These amino acids create peptides, necessary components to many functions of the body.  They also produce Human Growth Hormone, which plays a vital role in your strength and energy levels.

Peptides are the building blocks of proteins; these naturally occurring chains of amino acids provide powerful relief to common disorders of aging, including relieving erectile dysfunction, enhancing gym performance, aiding in the body’s repair after injury, promoting weight loss with lean muscle gain, increasing growth hormone production, and even helping reverse signs of physical aging.

Today, I will discuss one of the most widely used peptides in my clinical practice, BPC-157, also known as “the Wolverine drug.”

Screenshot-2024-11-11-at-9.33.17 AM.jpg

BPC-157

It is naturally found in the human gut, and plays a role in maintaining gut health. When taken orally in pill form, it reduces gastric reflux, heals peptic ulcers, and has been shown beneficial in Crohn’s disease and irritable bowel syndrome.

BPC-157 may be given subcutaneously, providing impressive healing properties to injured muscles, tendons, and even spinal cord injuries (in rats). It has been shown to increase angiogenesis (new blood vessel growth) to damaged tissue, promoting regional healing. I frequently apply this peptide to musculoskeletal injuries such as rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, chronic joint osteoarthritis, muscle strains, and more.

Some potential benefits of BPC-157 include:
  • Accelerated healing
  • Alleviation of pain and inflammation
  • Amplified muscle strength and endurance
  • Optimized joint health
  • Mitigation of injury risks
  • Fortified immune system
Screenshot-2024-11-11-at-9.33.05 AM.jpg

BPC-157 is currently not FDA-approved, as there have been no large controlled human trials. However, there were no signs of toxicity or side effects in human and animal studies, and all studies suggest tremendous healing benefits. Your physician may use BPC-157 as an off-label treatment.

Is BPC-157 Right For You?

Checking in "Behind Enemy Lines"

Arkansas Razorbacks (5 days until)

1. INJURIES - Taylen Green and Ja'Quinden Jackson:

Quote from Sam Pittman Mid-Week Presser last week

"I still think we’re a few days away from both those guys, determining what their ability to play against Texas would be," Pittman said. "I can tell you this, I don’t know if either one of them would be able to play if we were playing Saturday. Without avoiding the questions, just giving you a true answer, I think we still have to wait until probably a Monday of next week to see exactly where we’re at with those two guys.

"Taylen’s got a sprained knee, and certainly JJ’s got that ankle. They were out in the walkthrough yesterday, but I don’t know that they’ll be available really for practice today."

2. BYE WEEK - Sam Pittman off of a Bye Week:

2020:
Oct. 31 at 8. A&M: L
Dec. 5 at Missouri: L

2021:
Nov. 6 vs Mississippi State: W

2022:
Oct. 29 at Auburn: W

2023:
Nov. 4 at Florida: W

2024:
Oct. 19 vs 8. LSU: L
Nov. 16 vs 3. Texas:

3. SELMAN BRIDGES - Freshman Cornerback:

Bridges is a four-star cornerback recruit out of Temple, Texas, and he's logged just 10 defensive snaps this season, all of which came in the opener against UAPB. Bridges has appeared in six games on special teams, which means he isn't eligible to redshirt anymore.

Sam Pittman was asked if there was any chance of Selman Bridges would see the field, given the struggles in the secondary.

"Well, there’s certainly a chance of that, yes," Pittman said regarding Bridges getting some action. "I think we have to look at all things. How we’re coaching it. The coverages that we’re playing. The people that we’re asking to play those coverages, and we certainly have given that a good look and have made some changes there to see if we can get better. Selman’s certainly one of the guys in that thought process, as well. He’s done really a good job out there, and we’ll see what happens there, but he certainly has improved greatly this camp."

Defensive Super Explosives 2024

Another week goes by and it's another week with Texas sitting atop the country at NOT allowing the opposition to create explosive plays. I'm not sure if this can honestly be understood, but the numbers are proof that this entire defense is playing at an ELITE level, we are 9 games in and this is astonishing.

- Texas has allowed just 5 plays of 30+ yards, ranking #1 in the country. Leading Army, Tennessee, and Sam Houston State by 1.
- Texas has also allowed just 15 plays of 20+ yards, ranking #1 in the country. Leading Ohio State by 10.
- Texas has also allowed just 69 plays of 10+ yards, ranking #1 in the country. Leading Ohio State by 8.

Team Trump’s worried about Trump

Trump’s Meandering Speeches Motivate His Critics and Worry His Allies

They worry that Mr. Trump’s impetuousness and scattershot style on the campaign trail needlessly risk victory in battleground states where the margin for error is increasingly narrow.
At a time when his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, has stepped up her attacks on him as “unstable,” Mr. Trump has struggled to publicly hone his message by veering off script and ramping up personal attacks on Ms. Harris that allies have urged him to rein in.

Got Scammed! BE CAREFUL WITH CRAIGSLIST!

I got scammed out of $266 for a ticket to the A&M game. I just filed the police report, and it turned out this was a common and extremely well-executed ticket selling scam. Be careful if you ever choose to go to Craigslist for tickets. I'm feeling very defeated right now. This is an evil, non-human way to toy with people and I can't believe people do this. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Be cautious with Craigslist offers.

Kellen Wiley post-official visit update

I'll have more later but LB Kellen Wiley said he had a good visit all around, enjoyed his time with the coaches and the UT players.

He has a visit with Miami in two weekends but nothing set up for next weekend just yet.

He's still looking at Texas, Miami, Maryland, Alabama and Florida and said there really isn't one team standing above the others right now.

Instant W-Hoops Analysis: Rori's back, freshmen debut and returning stars dominate

462426895_858112719813455_1839574199191706728_n.png

Cliffs Notes: No.4 Texas blew the doors off of of Southeast Missouri State from the opening tip-off, racing to a 66-29 lead and basically using the 40 minutes as a glorified scrimmage in a 119-47 win.

The Participants: No.4 Texas (1-0) and SE Missouri State (0-2)

Game MVP: It could have been three different players in this spot, but I'm going with senior Taylor Jones, who scored 18 first-half points on a perfect 8 of 8 night from the floor, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 5 steals. Just another night at the office for Jones, who picked up where she left off in the 2023-2024 season.

Game MVP Runner-Up: Sophomore Madison Booker also scored 18 points, while grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists.

Game MVO Second Runner-up: Junior Kyla Oldacre transferred in from Miami in the off-season and came off the bench to past 21 points and 14 rebounds in er Texas debut.

Rori's Back! After tearing her ACL last season, all-everything point guard Rori Harmon was back in the starting line-up on Sunday for the first time since the injury, scoring 10 points and dishing out 7 assists.
Smoking Hot Start: The Longhorns exploded out of the gates in the first quarter, outscoring SEMO 34-15, while shooting 68.4% from the floor and dishing out 11 assists as a team. The ball moved well and found open shooters all over the place. Jones scored 12 points on a perfect 6 of 6 from the floor.

Freshman Breakout Performance: She wasn't the most highly-rated of the freshmen on the roster, but 5-9 point guard Bryanna Preston showed a nose for the bucket in scoring 11 points on 10 shots. She's pretty fearless and will give this team good minutes behind Harmon at the point,

5-Stars Debut: Jordan Lee and Justice Carlton were 5-star prospects in the 2024 class, rated No.9 and No.12, respectively, in the 2024 espnW 100. Both made their debuts on Sunday, as Lee finished with 6 points on 2 of 7 shooting, while Carlton added 8 points and 6 rebounds.

Arizona Officials Caught Changing the Ballot Totals as Counting for US Senate Seat Continues

SEND IN THE US MARSHALS: Arizona Officials Caught Changing the Ballot Totals as Counting for US Senate Seat Continues

Just like we witnessed in the 2022 Arizona election, election officials are openly changing the ballot totals remaining to be counted without explanation.

In 2022, Democrats swept the state-wide elections despite Republicans having the strongest set of candidates in recent history.

Kari Lake was so impressive and polished that she made a name for herself nationally prior to the race. But on election day, Maricopa County officials sent the wrong-sized paper to the precincts, essentially shutting down voting across the metro areas but especially in deep-red districts. Democrats were somehow able to pick up over 50% of the votes that day despite having only a 17% turnout on Election Day.
