beside hypocrisy what is the term we give

to Liberals who don't/will not reflect on the absurdity of their stated positions

it is not a trait of an intellectual or disciplined mind

you see the gaggle of lemmings in unison cry outrage or mock some of Trumps cabinet selection ....without once reflecting on the absurdity of the current stooge list and coming off of massive opinion failures about the election and the results

id tell you to take the loss pussies but you don't have the moral character to oblige , so you'll just pick up with the hypocrisy+ being outraged by the very things your party did while you were silent

WBB: #4 Texas 95 v Lamar 58 recap

From the AP, in case you were interested.

AUSTIN, Texas -- — Freshman Justice Carlton and senior Shay Holle each scored 15 points and No. 4 Texas defeated Lamar 95-58 Wednesday night.

Holle converted 3 of 4 3-point attempts. Carlton added three steals.

Madison Booker of Texas (2-0), an AP preseason All-American, missed the game with a sore hamstring and her status is day-to-day.

Freshman Jordan Lee started in place of Booker and scored 12 points. Bryanna Preston, also a freshman, added nine points, four assists and two steals.

Point guard Rori Harmon finished with eight points, eight assists and five steals in 18 minutes. Harmon, who missed the final 26 games last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, limped off the court in the third quarter after tweaking her ankle. She later returned to the game.

Akasha Davis led Lamar (1-1) with 14 points. Sabria Dean scored 13.

Takeaways

Lamar: The Cardinals, defending Southland Conference regular-season champions, trailed Texas 51-14 at halftime. The Cardinals matched the Longhorns' 44 points in the second half.

Texas: Laila Phelia, an all-Big Ten guard at Michigan last season, made her debut for Texas. She had eight points in 21 minutes as a reserve. Phelia averaged nearly 17 points last season.

Key moment

Texas outscored Lamar 20-3 during the final 7:12 of the first quarter. The Cardinals made only three free throws during the span. The Longhorns, using full-court defensive pressure, coaxed 10 turnovers in the quarter, seven of them steals. Harmon made four of the steals.

Wemby’s 50-Point Game…

…on 62% shooting (50% from three) was obviously fun to watch as a Spurs fan, but the more important thing is that the Spurs improved to 6-6 on the season. For context, they didn’t win their 6th game last season until January fu$&in’ 10th. It’s amazing the difference having a real point guard makes (even if he is pushing 40), and Harrison Barnes and Stephon Castle have also proven to be big additions. This isn’t an elite team by any stretch, but they’re at least now playing competitive basketball that’s enjoyable to watch as a fan.

Hey ags, want some cheese with that whine?

SIAP. This article is cracking me up.

Poor, pitiful aggy. So picked on by those meany SEC schedule makers. Not sure ive ever read something so sad. LOL

Dear Lord. Already setting the stage…..

Upcoming Real Estate Market

I’m more focused on the actual outcome for the real estate market and insight you guys may have (not the politics of the situation). I’ve included the excerpt below

“Real estate was the worst performing S&P 500 sector, shedding 2.6%. Real-estate developers rely heavily on debt financing, and borrowing costs look set to climb with rising bond yields.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury, which influences mortgage rates, rose to 4.425%, its highest level since early July.

Home builders were also among the worst performers, with investors expecting higher mortgage rates to dent demand.”

So is the idea that mortgage rates will rise sometime later in the next couple of years ? Also a big issue has been home affordability - how do you imagine it will change during the Trump admin? It’s hard to imagine prices coming down in the Austin area - so will affordability change any?

Today’s Gift (11-14)

“One doesn’t discover new lands without consenting to lose sight, for a very long time, of the shore.” —Andre Gide

I believe we all have our comfort zones or in today’s nomenclature “safe space”. To venture away from them can create anxiety and fear.

I grew up in Ohio in a high school that had only one African American family and had never been south of my home state where I grew up through high school. It took my older brother and my Dad to prompt me to consider moving to Texas where my Dad went to college to move and establish residency in the hill country before starting school at UT Austin.

Living in a one bedroom apartment with my brother exposed us to all kinds of people in our roach infested apartment complex. I could write a Seinfeld type sitcom to describe all the characters we met and lived with during most of our college career. At first it was intimidating, but I’m a much better person for expanding my perspective of people who I may have had biased opinions of prior to moving to Austin.

Don’t be afraid to venture out to new places and people that are different from you. It can change you for the better.

Be careful out there!

Cervical Myelopathy Surgery

Looks like surgery for cervical myelopathy may be in my future. Neck issues have been getting worse over time and I have opinions from both an orthopedic and a neurosurgeon on the issue and both agree in principal on the nature of the problem and the possible solutions which involve either an anterior or posterior surgical approach.
Won't bore you with details, but after a lot of soul searching, consultations and personal research it looks like posterior laminectomy is going to be the best bet.
Everyone agrees it's not going to be fun, and I've heard lots of good and bad war stories involving each.
There is a lot of age, wisdom and experience on this board and I'm wondering if anybody with personal familiarity with this procedure would like to share or offer any advice.
