24 years ago today....

I was on the sideline for that game running racks of Gatorade and water. And for some reason I was in front of the bench on a knee. I think I was fixing a spat for one of the receivers. I wasn't too far from where it happened. The aggy band was right behind our bench and our fans were on the other end of the field. I just remembered it got really quiet. And I looked over my shoulder and saw him on the ground

Did he really? Didn’t think it was a flag back in the day.

It was for taunting. According to the official, Westbrook got up and stood over McElroy, after the hit.

If you ignore the fact that he failed to wrap-up, that is exactly what used to be what you taught a player to do on that play. You blast that RB regardless of whether he catches the ball or not, and the next time he's hearing foot steps.

Bryant Westbrook was a bad bad man.

However, I would argue that these are the 2 nastiest hits in Texas history.
