First of all, I think that it is clear that self defense by an innocent person is totally moral and the right thing to do.
I challenge you to, using the New Testament, provide a case that Jesus teaches this to be moral. I don't see it when I look at what he said, and more importantly, what he did when faced with torture and Crucifixion.
So please either:
1. Explain why self defense really is not moral or right.
2. Explain how Jesus instructs people to protect themselves.
3. Admit that maybe Jesus got this part wrong.
