A few quick-hitter updates ...

Texas CB commit Kitan Crawford had an in-home with Jason Washington, Tom Herman and Bryan Carrington tonight. Schools like TCU, Va Tech, Georgia and Oklahoma State have tried to get their foot in the door this week, but Crawford tells me he's completely locked in with Texas and will sign with UT two weeks from tomorrow.

Herman, Oscar Giles and Derek Warehime did an in-home with Sawyer Goram-Welch this afternoon and he tells me things went very well. He's still committed to Oklahoma State but look for Texas to set up a visit soon. I like Texas' position in this one quite a bit.

Linebacker JaQwondis Burns has seen his recruiting world turned upside down this week with the firing of Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke, and with Texas firing Todd Orlando. Texas did an in-home today (Oscar Giles and interim LB coach Jeremiah George). Burns picked up an offer from Minnesota today and is likely to take a midweek visit to Tennessee next week and then hit Minnesota next weekend. Texas is still hanging around here, but feels like an uphill climb right now with no D-coordinator in place.

I'll have more details on all of these later in the week, including the War Room.
