Interesting article. Obviously, I don’t like Trump. However, Afghanistan has been a problem for awhile. I don’t know if there are any good options for the US, and don’t have an axe to grind against Trump on this issue.
It seems we are about to essentially surrender in Afghanistan, pull out and the Taliban looks like they will take down the government. I’m sure it will be a “peace deal” but if we leave and the Taliban take over the government, it will be like the peace deal in Vietnam. Again I’m not blaming Trump on this one, this may be the best option. I certainly don’t have any great ideas.
Hopefully the Taliban will not go back to allowing terrorist training camps.
