I wanted to create a new thread for this info instead of putting it inside of one where only a few might see it.
Let me begin by saying that it's regrettable to say the least that the search function has been an issue for weeks now. Without getting into specifics that Rivals wouldn't want me to, there were some unexpected issues with the conversion of a few upgrades and with a lot of moving parts in the air, this issue simply hasn't been put to bed like we'd all like for it to have been.
Let's just go through the things I want to pass along.
a. As has been the case for much of the last week, the search function works, but is limited. From what I've been told, it seems to be working on more recent archives, but not the complete archives on the message boards.
For instance, I did a search of the keyword "Geoff" from the poster "CS" and this is what popped up.
Again, it's not ideal, but for those wondering, it is working to a degree.
b. The search function will be turned off beginning tomorrow for about three days. The last thing Rivals wants is an outage issue on National Signing Day and as a precaution against that happening, this feature will be turned off.
c. The search function is expected to be turned back on Friday and the sites will be re-indexed at that point (again?).
I don't have a date on when the site will be fully re-indexed, but I'll kick and scream to ensure that we're at the top of the list.
Sorry for all of this fuss. We'll get through this and in time put this completely behind us.
