First game up
Baylor vs Boise State - if there is one game our conference is certain to lose it's today. Now watch Baylor spring an upset. Jim Grobe may be the happiest man in America when this game is over.

Tomorrow
West Virginia vs Miami - the Canes announced they were suspending 7 players for this game. Should make for a WV win.
Kansas State vs aggies - I really like KSU's chances but everyone is picking the aggies

Thursday
Oklahoma State vs Colorado this is on everyone's top 5 list for best bowls. I honestly don't know. CO's qb got hurt vs WA and I don't know if he'll be back. Should be a good game.

Friday
TCU vs Georgia - I don't know that much about GA. Which TCU team will show up? The offense that dropped 62 on Baylor or the TCU offense that could only score 24 points in two overtimes against the worst defense in the country?

Monday
Oklahoma vs Auburn - I just don't trust Oklahoma in bowl games anymore. But here they are in the Sugar Bowl against a team that lost 4 games, a team that doesn't deserve to be there. Will they pull another Boise? Will they fold up like a cheap tent like they did against Clemson a couple of years ago? I don't know.

Two of Auburn's losses were to #1 Alabama and #2 Clemson. They lost to Georgia by 6 points and their Q-B was hurt. He'll be back for the bowl game. The 4th loss was double digit to A&M. The only head scratcher, but not as bad as our loss to 4 loss Houston. They beat LSU and killed Arkansas something like 52-7.

The SEC was 13 average teams and Alabama. The other 13 were a bunch of average teams going up against each other and beating each other up. Meanwhile, Bama was on cruise control. They won their SEC games by average of 20+ a game. Only one was close.

I don't know who is going to win I'm just going to wait and see.

It's hard to judge the SEC's strength when they play such a weak out of conference schedule. Bama excluded....

I can't say enough about OK's attitude. I disagree with other people about bowl games. Bowl games are the most important game of the year. How can you win 10 conference titles and be sub 500 in bowl games? It's the one thing I have never been able to figure out about Bob Stoops.

Gus Malzahn is one of the most overrated hc's in the country. On a fluke they almost won a nc 3 years ago. Since then they've come nowhere near that kind of success.

Well, I don't disagree with your first paragraph, but I do disagree about Malzahn. I kind of compare his time at Auburn with Mike Gundy's last few years at OSU. I think most would agree Gundy has done a very decent job considering leading the second tier program in the state. Why doesn't Malzahn get that same consideration?
I saw his work at Tulsa, Arkansas and Arkansas State. Granted the first two as OC. I'm just glad you guy's didn't get him and if Bob retired tomorrow he would be my favorite (along with Mike Gundy) to replace him.
Strong recruiting ties in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and now the south due to the SEC. JMO...

Baylor looking good. And I agree with OP with the most likely conf loss. Might be a rare good bowl season for the good guys.

Well Baylor is leading 21/6 at halftime. And I will be glad if I'm wrong. Maybe now that the kids on the Baylor team know who the coach is, that there will be Baylor fb in the future, they seem to be relieved. They are playing with some focus it appears.

I bleed burnt orange but during bowl season I put that aside. Now dammit go out there and win the Sugar Bowl. For goodness sakes you're playing a 4 loss team. I mean you don't diss your opponent going into the game, but I disagree with K2C, Auburn aint ****

Boise took the second half kickoff ran the ball for 13 plays and almost 6 minutes. They got nothing.

Looks like a pretty good schedule to me. Played #1 and #2.

Sept. 3–Clemson 19, Auburn 13
Sept. 10–Auburn 51, Arkansas State 14
Sept. 17–Texas A&M 29, Auburn 16
Sept. 24–Auburn 18, LSU 13
Oct. 1–Auburn 58, Louisiana-Monroe 7
Oct. 8–Auburn 38, Mississippi State 14
Oct. 22–Auburn 56, Arkansas 3
Oct. 29–Auburn 40, Ole Miss 29
Nov. 5–Auburn 23, Vanderbilt 16
Nov. 12–Georgia 13, Auburn 7

Nov. 26–Alabama 30, Auburn 12
Jan. 2–Auburn vs. Oklahoma at Sugar Bowl, Superdome, New Orleans, La., 7:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Some on here still think Harsin is a good coach and wanted him to replace Strong. Not enough gimmicks in the bag to beat Baylor last night, that's for sure.

As of right now

SEC 1-1
B12 1-0
AAC 1-5
ACC 3-0
B10 1-1
CUSA 4-3
Indp. 2-0
Mid American 0-5
MWest 3-3
Pac12 0-1

I'll admit it. I didn't watch last night. The first BU game I've missed in person/radio/TV since 1979. I just want the season to be over. That being said -

CACTUS BOWL CHAMPIONS 2016!!!! WE DON'T REBUILD, WE RELOAD! COME ON REST OF THE BIG XII - DON'T EMBARRASS THE FIGHTING BAYLOR BEARS!

Got to give Baylor credit for showing up in their bowl games. Last year with their 4th string wr/qb and running an entirely different offense then they did all year to this year with all of turmoil and defection and missing/injured qb's at the end of the year and in the bowl but still winnng. Someone is still doing a good job coaching those perverts in Waco. You should feel proud Diadevic!:)

Canes suspended 7 with only one seeing quality time

I feel he were the coach at Texas he would ovbiously coach differently. Peterson ran a lot of trick plays in his Boise days(you should know). Plays a little more traditional style at UW. As good a program as Bose has been over the last decade or so they don't have the type of talent to,line up man on man with major conference teams. So you gotta pull out some tricks.

Harsin will get his shot to run a major program and I think he will do quite well. Let's also not forget that Baylor had under achieved their talent level the last 5-6 weeks of the year.

Harsin and his gimmicks sucked at Texas, that's not just my opinion, that's the opinion of the vast majority. He's good for Boise though. I would think the combo of Harsin and Diaz are two names no UT fan ever want to hear again.

As usual you don't know what you're talking about. Harsin has already won a FB and is sending talent to the NFL. He will soon have Boise back in another NYS bowl game.

And ftr we don't know what went on in Austin behind closed doors during the final years of the Mack Brown era, least of all you.

9 wins or more in 3 of his 4 seasons as a HC 2-1 In bowl games. Harsin and Diaz didn't work, out here. Being that both guys have gone on to have success other places fair to say their lack of success here wasn't completely their fault

Northwestern and Pitt locked in a good game. Always liked Pat Fitzgerald. He's got a pretty sweet gig at his alma mater but he'd win titles at a major program. Think he'd do well in the NFL if he wanted to go that route to.

I mentioned this to an uncle of mine on Saturday night (he's a diehard Oklahoma fan), I'm not sure if Auburn has enough offense to stay with Oklahoma. If the Oklahoma defense plays like they did in the second half against Oklahoma State, Auburn will be in trouble.

Yeah we do know what went on, your offense was Harsinized. Look he came to UT and got beat like a drum. He is not good enough to compete in a conference like the Big 12 or better, he proved it. He's done okay in their conference. That is probably his destiny as an OC. If you recall, his plays took forever to develop and were pretty much curtailed in Big 12 conference play. Perhaps with his experience as a HC he'll get a shot somewhere else as a HC but it won't be because of his razzle dazzle frizzle frazzle offense in my humble opinion.

I'm a little bit surprised on this one. I definitely thought Pitt would win.

Well West Virginia got thumped and that's putting it nicely.

And KSU is ahead at halftime. They've had a couple of home run plays. You know I hardly saw that from them this year.

Your not very big on accountability. Not strongs fault, not Harsins, not Diaz etc.

Yes they did westx. They committed an unwildcat like 12 penalties but their d made a stop late in wildcat territory and KSU hangs on.

This isn't just a Big XII victory it's a win over the big, bad, SEC. I wonder how the folks in KS felt when a&m bolted for the SEC, probably not as insulted as people in TX were.

So the current standings in the 2016 Big XII bowl season

good guys 2
bad guys 1

Next up
OSU vs Colorado tomorrow night in my hometown of San Antonio. This is our second biggest bowl game. This is a true tossup.

Oh and did I forget to mention the Big XII wins over the aggies.

There is no accountability in big time sports. Most of the time it's fake accountability. All I'm saying when coaches leave your school because they "sucked" and they go on to have success, and you still suck. Maybe they aren't the problem.

Major, Harsin and Diaz were run out of here and Mack was held accountable for making the wrong hires. Well 3 years later Harsin is a successful HC, major earned a HC job and Diaz is running a solid Miami defense. Texas is on there 3rd coach on 5 years. Maybe there were deeper problems at Texas then those coordinators
