I can confirm that Texas running back/h-back Chris Warren has decided that he will be transferring and has notified the UT coaching staff.

A junior, Warren played in 23 games with nine career starts. Warren started at running back early in the 2017 season but the coaches eventually transitioned to freshmen running backs Daniel Young and Toneil Carter, paving the way for Warren to transition to an H-back role for the final few games of the season, including against West Virginia where he caught a 20-yard touchdown pass.

Warren will finish his Longhorn career with 1,150 rushing yards and five career 100-yard games.

After playing in only four games last year, as a sophomore, Warren will have the opportunity to use a medical redshirt during his transfer year, which would give him two years to play at a Division I school.
