Wtf is he thinking? Is this a Panteen commercial? Head and shoulders try out?
Anybody else find this................ what's the word I'm looking for.............. alarming?
Will he start this year ?
Looks like katlyn Jenner has been hitting the weight room. When I think about Texas defense, I don't want to think "that's the prettiest man I ever saw....".
All I care if he knocks the shit out of the opposition.
How bout pig tails for ou?
I doubt he would cut it, if Texas won the big 12. He likes it a lot apparently.
But my point is, are you a football player, or are you a hair model? Check out his instagram.... it's all about him "building his brand"...... the photos start out with innocuous stuff, motivational things, but then it morphs into the "look at me, I'm an individual" poser opportunity. There's no hint of "team" as the posts go on. It's him at some gala wearing a tuxedo and posing with a chick, or him at the houston rodeo concert backstage with his hair in pigtail braids while wearing a cowboy hat. Or him posing in white linen pants with, I assume, his mom holding a parisol....... if this is what happens when you come to austin to play football, I think it gives incredible insight as to why we've had the problems with this team that we've had over the last several years....
This is a prime example of individualism. Football is not an individuals sport. It's a team sport. We need to shut this social media sh!t down. You're there to do two things, get educated and play championship caliber football. This isn't your time to moonlight as a prospective head and shoulders model...... or have photo shoots done where you're wearing pancake make-up..... yes, he's wearing make up.
Not sh!t right. Keep your fvcking head down and save the model shoots for if/when you actually win something worth modeling for. FFS........
His pops used to have long hair. I think he is just doing the stuff his dad did.
Oh yeah you're right. I forgot all about Britt wearing makeup, dying his hair, and pimping himself on social media.
He shore has a Purdy mouth.
Pretty convenient for the old-timers to pretend like they would not have used social media if it existed when they were that age.
I would venture to guess you could currently find Bama, Ohio St, and Clemson players doing "individual" stuff on social media, not just teams that currently are not winning championships.
Maybe he likes glam rock, idk.
What’s that a power clean at what weight? Anyone know?
Relax guys. Unless he runs out of the tunnel on Saturdays in a full length mink coat I'll hold my criticism...
Two things here........ Ohio St, bama, and Clemson have learned to be a team and thus individualism is tolerated to a certain extent because they've proven they know how to be a team (by winning)......
2nd....... he looks like a young version of, "It rubs the lotion on the skin......".
Let’s hope he goes out and start this year and build his brand when and if he goes pro.He was not a starter last year .
He looks like a flat out tranny. But he is a pretty good player. Super weird.
For sure there are 3 45lb plates. So 315. I am not sure if the other 3 are 25, 10, and 5 so 395. If it's a 10-5-2.5 then it's 350. Those are cheap collars. Might weigh a pound each. Just for reference the national under 25 champion did 402 in the clean and jerk at 230 lbs body weight.
I'd lift a lot of weight as well with that dude looking over my shoulder for the simple fear of not wanting to disappoint him! Not sure who that guy is, but he could motivate me to do a lot of things.
Wait.... he's doing power clean..... clean and jerk (I was always taught) you end up with the bar over your head. Has the terminology changed?
Yes the top under 25 lifter put 400 lbs over his head. They don't post power clean records. Kendrick Ferris is one of the better US lifters and he competes around 205. His best clean and jerk is 461. So 350 or 395 in the power clean is pretty nice for a 6-3 250lb lb/de but it's not anything incredible.
No, it's not. I was in the weight room and was a spotter the day Chris Akins did over 900 on the squat rack. We lifted with kilo plates back then, European style. So you always had a weird number for your max. My bench max was 402. I would tell my cousins "dude, I pressed 402!" and they'd be like "don't you mean 405???". I was also in the wieght room the day mark Henry dead lifted over 1000. They used a special titanium bar for him to lift with. It still bent like a paper clip.
Dan Neil was always most impressive to me in power clean. He could do the Chinese splits he was so flexible... so literally he could get his ass under any bar, and front squat it up. Dude was just strong.
Yeah they let me work out in the weight room during off times when I was a student trainer. Apparently someone got a crazy deal on eliko plates. They had conversion charts on all the racks and benches.
I didn't know who Angel Spasov was at the time but I was like who is that crazy old dude walking around with 150 lbs over his head. He was working with some crazy strong European chick and Mark Henry. That dude made Chris Akins look like a normal sized human.
You know that Akins beat all of henry's highschool power lifting records, right? Every, dang, one of them. Angel used to crack me up. I'd be like "angel, how do the Russian powerlifters get so strong?"-- He would then start a pantomime of a Dr. hold an imaginary needle and thumping the side of it, then he'd slide the right side of the hosrts down revealing his butt cheek. Then he'd jab the imaginary needle into his butt. Always said "now back to work!" after.
Henry's total stood for 22 years. It was broken in 2013 by a kid from Waco named Andrew Billings.
Billings attended Waco High School in Waco, Texas. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and committed to Baylor University to play college football. Billings also competed in powerlifting during high school and broke Mark Henry's Texas record with 2,010 pounds.
Do squats affect the knees? Billings had knee issues at Baylor and they have continued in the pros.
Does a bear sh!t in the woods?
I know speedstrength will say "if done properly, you can be ok..." and he's right.....BUT if you'e got bad knee genetics, squats will expose it.
Not genetics but technique. The knee is a hinge. The hip and ankle tell it where to go. Limitations in mobility of the hip or knee can lead to disfunctional squat patterns. This can lead to chronic overuse type injuries but don't typically lead ligament or cartilage damage. When dudes get tall like 6'6" and over the levers start to put a tremendous amount of dislocation forces on the lumbar spine so in that sense genetics can lead to squat related injuries.
Well there you go.
Jesus h christ.....
This is not 1% as weird as the original picture. This just seems like a weird dude with long hair.
The first one was very he/she/it????????????
