Chavis files lawsuit against LSU and A&M

Chavis doesn't care. He's only there for his final paychecks.

I'm not sure how contracts work, no lawyer here.

It says that Chavis turned in his 30 day notice on January 5, effectively making his last day with LSU February 4th.
Does that mean A&M was sending an LSU employee out to recruit on their behalf for the last month of the recruiting cycle?

This is the best thing Chavis and A&M could do. I don't think bomb is smart enough to realize this. Another topic that will not end well for him.

aggie jokes write themselves

recruiting violation...do the entire NCAA a favor and give em the death penalty :)

"This is the best thing Chavis and A&M could do."

Oh yes, Chavis suing A&M is a good thing.

Aggy thinks it's a great thing because it will keep the suit in state...

What's interesting about that: Chavis is saying if he owes LSU money, A&M should pay it. Wickline hasn't done that with UT in regard to OSU.

If you thought Wickline was a bad look. How was Chavis spending state money recruiting if he wasn't an official employee?

"If you thought Wickline was a bad look."

Yep, that's the distinction. This is something A&M and Chavis should handle behind closed doors.

LOL..dumbass aggie spinning it positive....wow...ask The Pirate how it works suing a texas school.

This will not end well for Chavis. His' lawyer is an aggie. FIFY

If Chavis was a LSU employee until Feb. 4th then were all his in home recruiting visits for the Ags, before LOI day. NCAA violations?

More importantly, only an Aggie would think an Aggie lawyer is something worth bragging about.

ATM jacked Texas Wesleyan U's law program in 2013 and renamed it ATM law school. The only thing really going for it, is that it is not located anywhere near College Station. And that law school was previously called DFW law and its roots can only be traced back as far as 1989. Like just about every poster here is literally older than your great law schools past and damn sure ATM hasn't put a single lawyer out of its program since it was bought out. Like every one of their grads at some point was wearing a Wesleyan U law school shirt. Even so how many top lawyers do you think it is credited with pumping out if you want to claim them all?

And how many of Wesleyan U's lawyers are you going to claim as your own? Like are you allowed to claim their lawyers from 1997 or 2010 as your own, just like you fabricated CCs in those years?

I bet the Ag poster didn't even know that little back story on how ATM finally added a law school anyway.

Chances are this "Aggie lawyer"......probably only did his undergrad at ATM. And went to law school at a real law school. If thats the case, Chavis may have a shot.

If he is some recent 2014 ATM law school grad (who really spent most of those years wearing a Wesleyan U law school sweatshirt).......well good luck Chavis.

And if Aggie is claiming some old DFW law school/Wesleyan law school former grad as their own Aggie lawyer now.......well that is something only Aggie would do.

Looks like the ATM Law School is in a tight race with the football team to see which is most competitive! Keep working law school, and you can get to average, just like the football team - whoop!

The TBLE also provides information about how the graduates of Texas' nine American Bar Association-accredited law schools did on the exam. Here is a ranking of Texas' law schools based on the percentage of each school's graduates who passed the July 2014 bar exam on their first try.

1. Baylor University School of Law in Waco, 91.57 percent

2. University of Texas School of Law in Austin, 90.08 percent

3. University of Houston Center of Law, 86.29 percent

4. Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, 85.51 percent

5. South Texas College of Law in Houston, 83.58 percent

6. Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, 77.46 percent

7. Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, 73.25 percent

8. St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, 70.45 percent

9. Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, 62.70 percent

A total of 1,629 Texas law school graduates took the exam for the first time in July 2014, according to the TBLE. Of those test-takers, 80.85 percent or 1,317 graduates, passed the exam.

That's what you don't understand. A&M is backing Chavis with this and will cover the buyout if he loses. Way better look than what Texas is doing to Wickline.

"A&M is backing Chavis with this and will cover the buyout if he loses."

Oh yes, that's why they've already covered the buyout
laugh.r191677.gif
. So hard that Chavis is suing A&M because they haven't covered said buyout.

A&M may very well cover the buyout, not because they are backing Chavis but because they are legally obligated to do so.
