Why would seemingly honorable people accept him? Why would they defend him when he does stupid or even questionable stuff?
That is what you need to ask yourself as Democrats. You might not care as I think we are headed towards an absolute impasse that will be determined by the next generation and negatively for my side. I just wonder if Democrats ever wonder why what they do makes so many embrace Trump, because that is what is going on. I doubt they care
