The recording of the voicemail was released. I listened to it and compared it to what Mueller wrote in the report.
The words left out in the report does not change the meaning of the voicemail. Mueller left out Dowd saying not confidential information. Then Dowd proceeds to ask for confidential information.
Dowd was covering his ass like lawyers do by saying the words, not confidential. However, he went ahead and asked for it anyway. Dowd was clearly asking for more information from Flynn about his cooperation and if he was going to provide Mueller incriminating evidence against Trump.
Then Trump/Dowd do more obstruction things trying to influence Flynn’s cooperation with Mueller. Go read the Mueller report, the entire section dealing with obstruction and Flynn, it’s not very long.
Note: The underlying evidence was not edited, only the part that made it into Mueller’s report which is a summary of the investigation. The Mueller report is supposed to be an edited report of the underlying evidence.
