Texas football coach Tom Herman said defensive back Anthony Cook sustained a hamstring injury on Wednesday.
Cook will remain in Austin during spring break next week for rehab. Herman is optimistic Cook will be ready to practice on the Monday after spring break.
Defensive lineman Keondre Coburn was cleared to participate in individual drills on Friday. Coburn’s blood levels will be checked on Friday. If the results are normal, he will be eased back into practice.
Meanwhile, Herman said linebacker DeGabriel Floyd had stinger issues in high school and had an MRI recently. Floyd will have follow-up tests conducted to determine the best plan that can eventually get him back on the field. Herman said they are at the preliminary stage right now.
