Pretty much takes away federal subsidies from those who can't produce a work authorized SSN. Not only have to provide that, but if applying for welfare programs also have to be E-verified.
also in the bill would be added asylum legislation. Considering so many are abusing this now, (unless you think 20 times more people are in danger than a decade ago - Used to get 5k applicants a year now get 100k) I like this add on. Must make their credible fear claim in Mexico or Canada first before being considered. Not sure if that entails everyone in the world or just those wanting to travel 2000 miles when they could just travel 200 to a multitude of countries near them. IE Honduran caravan.
Would also put a bench warrant on those that don't show up for their asylum hearings (35-40%). Not a big fan of this one personally. Im more of a fan of nipping the whole problem in the bud. Make asylum camps at the border with basic necessaries only. Ramp up the speed at which we work these cases and allow in if truly needing asylum or ship out if not. Never ever let them free to go in this country on their good word to come back to a hearing.
