I was trying to put my finger on what bothers me most about this entire narrative and it dawned on me what is most troubling about it. It isn’t an organic story. It is wholly manufactured with a political purpose.
The Dems were planning to paint Trump as a racist in order to weaken him before DACA negotiations. Along with the “shithole” comment was their secondary line of attack that the term “chain migration” was in and of itself racist because it brought about slavery imagery.
The Dems took this opportunity to weaken Trump by branding him a racist. Why would the Dems do this so brazenly and why are their allies in the MSM going apoplectic? One of their core, long term strategies is tied to the demographic shift in this country. The more immigrants they can bring in, and the quicker they can turn them into citizens, the quicker they can achieve their goal of an overwhelming demographic advantage.
And it isn’t simply immigrants that are important. They latched onto the “shithole”comment because it struck a nerve that is central to the Dems’ strategy. They need to bring as many people they can from the poorest, and most uneducated, parts of the world so that they can get them beholden to government largesse for their day to day needs. The worse shithole the better...
