“U.S. Central Command has confirmed that Air Force Assets carried out a Large-Scale Strike Operation today against ISIS Sites in Central and Eastern Syria. The Strikes which were conducted by B-52H Long-Range Strategic Bombers, F-15E Strike Aircraft, and A-10C Close-Air Support Aircraft were launched against over 75 Targets, and were part of the ongoing Mission to disrupt, degrade, and defeat ISIS across the Region. In addition, the Strikes were meant to prevent the Terrorist Group from conducting External Operations and to ensure that ISIS does not seek to take advantage of the current Situation to Reconstitute its Forces in Central Syria.”
