Looks like 1998 UT-Austin grad Dade Phelan will be the new Speaker of the Texas State House. Along with the Governor, we now have two proud Longhorns at the top of State leadership. This will be good going into a budget cycle with an estimated $4 Billion budget defecit in the current biennial budget, and an estimated $14 Billion budget deficit in the upcoming biennial budget.

Let the aggy conspiracy theories begin.
