Happy Thanksgiving from the CDC

You're too young to remember, sometime in the late 50s, the Surgeon General determined that cranberries could give you cancer: because rats fed nothing but cranberries got cancer. It was quite the dinner conversation at Thanksgiving.

Next thing you know they’ll be requiring @StrangerHorn to wear a mask on his bunghole to keep the droplets contained when he farts.

I'll have you know Boomer, my shit don't stink ....

Guys... these are recommendations, not orders. They are just doing their jobs to keep Americans informed, that's what they do. You still make up your own minds what to do. Chill already. Hope everyone has a great and SAFE Thanksgiving.

The unfortunate truth however is that the vast majority of political zealots will treat this as mandated rules. I mean look at the damn picture...it is propaganda, lol.

And by the by, did you see what Newsom just ordered in California?

I beg to differ. If you value our country's foundational principles, we shouldn't "chill." The tyranny of socialism comes in drips. Drip by drip . . . year after year . . . scratching away at our freedoms . . . careful not to startle us too much. It comes disguised as "reform", "protecting us", or a call for "unity." Until someday we wake up to find that we have lost our freedoms and our country. Only when it's too late will we realize what we have lost.
I'm old enough to recall the benediction before high school football games being taken away. Then, the schools were not allowed to say "merry Christmas"; had to say "happy holidays." The Pledge of Allegiance was banned because of the phrase "one nation under God."
I will be having a wonderful Thanksgiving in my home (were I currently have privacy rights granted to me under the U.S. Constitution) in direct contravention of the rules put out by my Governor.

What state do you live in?

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you're getting the hell outta there ASAP.
Currently looking for property in the Hill Country. Haven't zeroed in on exact location.
It's really unfortunate the extreme damage the Newsom/Pelosi/Silicon Valley monarchy is doing to this state. They've bamboozled a significant % (but less than a majority) of the populace in my opinion. This past general election, there were a number of state referendums that were shot down by the citizens: Increase property taxes: NO; Eliminate cash bail: NO; Allow affirmative action: NO. Those are conservative views. Multiple GOP candidates beat out Dem incumbents. Yet, Newsom won his election in 2018 handily? Something smells. The citizens are not pleased with the monarchy and there is a strong recall movement underway.

I read where Californians are buying up property in the Boerne area. It was already expensive, so no telling what it is now. Fredericksburg the same.

I think New Braunfels is in the same boat. A place close to me on FM 306 outside of Gruene just went on the market for $82,000/ac. It's 41 acres@3.4 million. No house, nothing

Look around North side of Canyon Lake, good land lots to build on and close enough to civilization to get a good meal and far enough to not be bothered by traffic and all the issues surrounding most cities in 2020.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about that general area but will begin my search in earnest right after the new year. Happy thanksgiving.
