Now that it is abundantly clear that the GOP has been unable to nominate an electable candidate for the 3rd consecutive Presidential election, will the party be permanently marginalized to a regional party that is wholly incapable of winning a nationwide election?

It appears the realistic future of the GOP rests in their ability to regionally elect enough representatives to Congress to try and keep the Democrat White House de jour in check.
