The power brokers at Michigan don't have the resources that Texas has. With that said, Urban at Texas can still keep his friends in Columbus. Urban in Ann Arbor will have lost every friend he ever made in Ohio.
The wrench in the machine is will Texas give him everything he is asking for, and from what I have read, that is a lot. I can see the University side scoffing at him while Michigan opens the flood gate.
Two things Texas has going for them.
Recruiting in Texas much easier than getting recruits up to Michigan.
Doesn't have to deal with Ohio State every year. He will instantly give Oklahoma reason to worry, tOSU, not so much.
Let's also not forget, winning the Big 12 is much easier than winning in the SEC ACC or B1G. This is the #1 reason I believe he would fast track Texas to the playoffs.
My guess Meyer has been talking to Mack Brown to give him some insight on Texas.Coaches do that kind of talk.
Urban wouldn’t go to Michigan.
There are probably only 3-5 college jobs Urban would come back for imo
