So again, not an insider, but I do know some folks down here in Louisiana who know people that are very plugged into the scene. I'm down here at the LSU tailgate right now.
- It was 99% done for Les Miles last night, but something may have changed. If he can win tonight he may have a chance, but even then he's on thin ice. As I said this morning they are very close to a deal with Fisher, but obviously there are steps in front of that one. I'd put this in the we shall see category. The next 24 hours will be very interesting. (Level 3)
- Kirby Smart, as has been reported, is being pursued by South Carolina. The job he really wants is Georgia, if it should become available. (Level 3)
- Charlie Strong is still being pursued by Miami to at least some extent. Maybe they are just hedging in case he is available and their plans don't go perfectly. (Level 3,4)
- And finally, as if we needed to hear it again, Saban was "one step out the door two years ago" (level 3 - through Alabama people)
