1. We can’t stay in lockdown very much longer, before we threaten far more loss of life from factors beyond coronavirus.
2. We’re all soldiers now, because as unlikely as it is, we could all acquire and die from COVID—19.
3. Like it or not, the only short–term or medium-term solution to this is for the population to acquire herd immunity. The only way that happens is if large numbers of young people go back to work and circulate the virus among themselves in an asymptomatic way.
That’s the ultimate truth, like it or not. Deal with it.
