Till we get in Top 5 and in the chase for a Natty? I am gonna guess here, I think if Herman gets his act together it will be 3 yrs, if not and we have to get another Coach then it will 5..and thats a big if. when ya start over it seems to cost you 2 more years.or more..but, after seeing them all and the year span between them, thats what I base it on.Look how long it was before MB and how long since MB....

I think we have the pieces to put it together next year if a lot of things come together.

2021 will be tough since we will have a new starter at QB. If things keep rolling 2022 and beyond we could be right back up there, especially if one of these QB recruits pans out.

Just an outsider's opinion, but your QB hasn't been your weakest spot on offense. Until you shore up your OLine, it won't matter what QB you throw under center.

Ehlinger is a very good college QB. Decent to good arm, and is really good at short yardage rushing. Stopping Texas on 3rd and 3 or less is a DC's nightmare. But your OLine has holes. Or better yet creates holes where none should be.

You guys have a salty defense when everyone's not injured. You're not where BJ Foster thinks you are (those comments were just silly), but you had one of the best DB recruiting seasons ever just two years ago. You guys were just really beat up or injured most of the season. It'll be interesting o see where Ash can get you to.

Anyhoo, like I said, you'll definitely need your QBs to pan out (all teams do), but to me, you guys need to hire the best OLine coach you can and whip them into shape. THAT's where it needs to come together.

Just my .02 cents.

I think the OL struggles this past year were more about the offense struggling overall and had less to do with the actual O-line. At times, other teams apparently were able to know what play was coming pre-snap. This is why Tim Beck is no longer with us as O-coor yet Herb Hand is still here as OL coach.

The O-line started off as one of our strongest units and then fell apart when our offense overall started to struggle. Hard to know what caused what. We will need to replace several players, a center and a guard, but I think we have the talent on campus to do it. We will know more come spring ball.
