Per a source close to RB Toneil Carter, he will take an official visit to Texas this weekend. The person I spoke with said the visit will begin on Saturday.
Carter, out of Langham Creek, has been committed to Georgia since this summer. Texas went in last week and visited him and made a strong impression. Mentioned it in the War Room, but there are people close to Carter who really like Tom Herman and assistant Corby Meekins and would like to see Carter at Texas.
Big development here. Carter is an early enrollee, so this is the last weekend he'll have to take official visits.

9:40 p.m. update - I just heard back from La Grange RB and Ohio State commitment J.K. Dobbins. Nothing earth-shattering, but Herman did go by the school today.
More interesting ... I had heard last week that Dobbins was strongly considering taking a UT official visit before the dead period but then got cold feet. Not sure yet if today's visit caused things to heat back up but I'm guessing it sure didn't hurt UT"s chances.
