A few months ago aggy was beating their little bird chests about having the 3rd best recruiting class in the country.....now with a couple of their "big time" recruits in Mowry and Ellison rumored to not make it in.....it will probably drop aggy out of top 5.....still a good class but not what they expected a few months ago.
Also funny how a month ago aggy was bragging about Shepherd flipping to aggy only to be......well dumbfounded by a turn of events......they were "played" again and are being made fun of yet again.
Last thing is the solid "A" grade class they are talking up......seriously? If you have 13 top 300 espn recruits and Bama just signed 24......what grade did Bama end up with......solid "B"?
Sometimes you just cant fix stupid.....and aggy makes it soooo true.

don't get me wrong, recruiting obviously matters. but bragging about recruiting rankings is silly. like bragging about the most valuable or most profitable college team-- my ticket prices aren't going down and they aren't offering me rebates for my tickets. if we develop ours better than they develop theirs, we'll be better off in the end. that goes the other way too. gary patterson has had some teams whose recruiting rankings were well below top 20 beat our top 10 classes from pillar to post.

Texas and OU are the only teams in the top 25 of the two rankings I saw. While the conference did well this bowl season, I can't see how this is a good thing long term.

Don't care how the rest of the Big 12 did. Teams like Okie Lite, TCU and Iowa State have great coaching staffs and don't need top recruits to get good results. They still are dangerous teams and you have to come with your A game or they will beat your top rated recruiting class.

I haven't tried to verify those stats, but I would guess they mean the final ranking after the championships have been crowned.

I wouldn't trade places with aggy for anything. Texas' future is very bright. a&m is a&m. They weren't competitive in the Big 12 and they're not competitive in the $EC. Texas' chances for getting to the CFP are much, much better than a&m's chances are. I'll be shocked if Jimbo shows much improvement over Sumlin's results.

OK Joeag....explain exactly why you think YOUR conference is all that compared to the Big12.....you cannot cite a single valid reason. The fact is that the secsecsec has been proven on the field to be over rated. How you might ask?.....simple!

The secsecsec only plays 7 conference games each year....half of those are against tomato cans and the others not named Alabama or Georgia are not that big oof a deal. I realize you dont have any knowledge of actually playing Georgia as you have only been in the secsecsec for what?...7 years? All of your Non Conference games are against baby schools......ok...ok, you finally scheduled a tough Non Con in Clemson....how did that work out.?...in sum, you dont play many conference games and your non con games are creme puffs.

For the last 3 years combined bowl records put the mighty secsecsec not first.....not second...but middlin in the pack....

secsecsec will not play power 5 teams in non con, so the bowl games are really the only way to see how the secsecsec stacks up against the other power 5 conferences, and frankly, by that gauge the secsecsec is fairly pitiful.
