I remember when we hired Herman, people talking about how hard his practices were and his teams had a lot of injuries. We've had a lot of concussions early in the practice cycle. It's a fine line to walk, but we can't afford many more at this point.

Since most are already back at practice my guess is much is related to modern concussion protocols.
I'd rather have hard practices than a bunch of "walk thrus" . What I've read is they take care of the players very well but it is football.

Agree. I would be curious if our players are actually suffering more concussions or we are just identifying more concussions. Also be curious as to how those numbers compare across the nation.
I just remember this coming up later in the year for Houston as they had little depth and a lot of injuries and ended up losing some games they should not have. I'm all for contact, just curious. I guess we'll see how it plays out. On another note, I would assume a guy Warren's size needs to be at 20 carries a game or so to stay healthy. We'll need another RB to step up that can get us some solid yards. I can't imagine Warren can go 30 carries.
I would say schools are taking more precautions and identifying more concussions.
