Race aside.

On John Blake’s final season as Sooners coach in 1998, which was barely better than his first two: “I made the decision to give him an extra year. I personally made that decision… We wanted to say we were the kind of place that gives a coach a fair chance.”

Sound familiar?

Charlie's doing okay but not great recruiting. At least enough to build a foundation for our next coach. That's another Blake checkmark.

Capping off a decade of irrelevance? We're getting pretty close to that. If we give Strong another year it'll be 2018 before the next coach gets their "fair chance."
