Trinity Valley DB Curtis Jones is on his way to meet with the UT coaches. He said he had a very good camp so an offer could happen.
6:05 pm update - Just talked to Jones. No offer but he's on UT's radar. Bedford wants to keep evaluating him. Jones is actually coming back to UT's second mini-camp next weekend at Bedford's request.
A bit of background ... He's about 6-1 and 180. Ran a 4.43. He went to South Grand Prairie (former teammate of Jason Hall's) but was about 5-8 in high school. He had a late growth spurt.
Jones wasn't on UT's radar before today but his trainer thought it would be a chance to get some exposure. Good call. Currently, he's walking on at Trinity Valley. Said he'll play next year as a walk-on, and then would have four years at a Division I program.
