Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (A&M/OU Junior Breakdowns)

... Jalen Hurts is playing in the Super Bowl as a starting quarterback. I'm waiting for some of those old threads to get bumped in the next two weeks.

Finkley, huh? That would kind of surprise me. I'm not sure that's his best position.

Tapp reportedly had a good set of bowl workouts, but that's just talk IMO.

Blackwelll is probably better suited to play the vacated spot left by DTD.
Ketch, you thinking Finkley should move to DT like Lamar Houston did? Or what position?

The only two edges right now with legit experience are Finkley and Sorrel. Maybe Burke and Tapp end up allowing him to flip back over to the other side but I can’t imagine either begin in the starting lineup. Just my opinion.

... Teams asking for permission to talk to Eric Bieniemy for offensive coordinator jobs is something else.
I think it's a concern for folks that he isn't calling plays there. People are spooked they're going to get another Matt Nagy. Wanting to see him call plays at another place isn't that absurd to me if he wants to progress to be a head coach because it isn't happening as it sits right now. He goes and does well elsewhere I believe he could be an HC within a year or two.

Sorrell is a strong-side end. Kind of feel the same about Finkley. He doesn't have the burst to be the edge.

It wasn't a movie that I thought was award worthy.
Fair enough.

But I'm still not sure what was award worthy about Banshees. Certainly not the storyline. Maybe, maybe Collin Farrel playing a daft, whiny little b*tch. But Brendon Gleeson just being moody isn't acting. And Kerry Condon was OK but in my mind Michelle Williams was 10x better in Fabelmans. Hell, Mariana Trevino was a better female supporting actor that Condon.

By the way, I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to type an "ene" in my last post and had to give up, so maybe I'm not smart enough to be be judging these things :)

I thought the acting was sensational. It's a dark comedy. My wife didn;'t like it because it was depressing, but I thought it was great.

Being an allegory doesn’t make it entertaining. It was frustratingly pointless as a story. An idiots best friend decides to ignore him for no reason. And then somehow, it gets stupider from there with the finger thing. WTF am I missing? I liked 3 Billboards so I went in trying to like Banshees. But the movie just refused to make sense.
So that is a “no” for you.

Damn, this week's column just didn't move the meter, it seems.

We are in a post holiday funk, between football season and spring ball, second signing day isn’t really worth a damn anymore, still waiting for baseball and the basketball team is playing without the architect and seems to have hit a ceiling, while I don’t think anyone has NC designs for them anymore. Exciting news is at a minimum, so I think it’s kind of a perfect storm. You would have really needed to hit something more triggering to wake the masses I think. Lol.

I should have posted a MIley photo.

I thought the visit info was really interesting. No one has showcased that before. 🤷‍♂️

Notice most of your snubs were from the same movie Babylon. Maybe just maybe the movie sucked!!
In fact I'm suing Paramount for 3 1/2 hours of my life back!!

If I am going to invest 2-3 hours of my time to watching a movie, I want it to either be entertaining, elicit a strong emotional response, or hopefully both. A Man called Otto was definitely one that falls under both. It's rare that a movie moves me like that one did. Guess the Academy didn't like the positive message.

Elvis on the other hand was a disaster. It jumped around so much it was hard to follow the thread, and it ended up just being one trope after another, and blatantly falsified the facts in attempt to make him some kind of Great White Hope.

Haven't seen any others on the list... will maybe watch the Banshees one because it looks quirky enough to be entertaining and we love Ireland.
