Interesting comments. He appears to have made his decision based on position coaches, which is really not a smart thing for a smart person to do.

Lindberg's academic aptitude can't be questioned. He used that same logic to settle on the Dawgs over Texas, who at one point were perceived to be the favorite for the versatile lineman. Even Chad's mother, Emily Lindberg, thought the Longhorns would get the nod by the time her son was ready to take the plunge, but there was one glaring reason that kept drawing Lindberg's attention back on Georgia.
"All of the schools I officially visited, as well as Stanford, made it to the end. The very end I was flipping between Texas and Georgia," Lindberg told Rivals. "Ultimately, I made the call because my high school coaches were in love with (Sam) Pittman as a person and as a coach. It's an opportunity I couldn't pass up in terms of on-the-field and off-the-field success."
Yep. Pittman.
Georgia's offensive line coach is four-fifth of the way of assembling an All-Star haul upfront in 2020. Lindberg was the fourth piece of the puzzle, joining five-star
Tate Ratledge
,
Broderick Jones
(Rivals100) and
Joshua Braun
(Rivals250). Naturally, Pittman is -- or at least is among -- the frontrunners for Recruiter of the Year.
Pittman's recruiting style is the difference. He found a delicate balance between convincing and consistent. His track record speaks for itself and he has the undivided support of his players, not to mention a bonafide championship-caliber program up his sleeve.
"Letting all the official visits sit and marinate let it show where the best opportunity is," Lindberg said. "Coach Pittman was persistent. Ultimately, winning (mattered). It's hard to tell the future, but Georgia is clearly a championship team.
"Coach Pittman says: 'I will work for you and I will make every dream you have come true.' His players backed that up. That's the kind of coaching I want. The best part of my official visit was probably my host Owen Conden. He did a great job of showing Georgia off in a humble, truthful way, and Pittman and Mike Cavan's hospitality made an out-of-state trip more manageable by making it a home."
