Republicans are such ineffectual squishes. Do not know how to play hard ball. They've been outmaneuvered by the devious Dems again.
Know how this would have worked out if the roles were reversed? Schumer would have called the fence sitters in and said, "Look, we need your vote. Get on board or your new senate office will be so far out in the sticks you will have to Uber to the Senate dining room. And don't even think about any pork or favors for your state until hell freezes over. And your expense allowances and election supplements will be virtually nonexistent and your committee assignments will be so obscure you won't be able to find their meetings on the calendar. Am I clear?"
