In the press release regarding his signing and the signing of Urquidez, Texas classified Donovan Duvernay as a defensive back. I guess that puts to rest where he'll be starting out at Texas since his high school tape has so much good footage of him as an offensive weapon and returner, especially in his senior season. The smart money was probably on DB (probably corner or nickel) all along as the WR group is starting to look pretty crowded and there's clearly even less room at the RB position. Given the depth and number of young up-and-comers in the defensive backfield for Texas in 2016, it would be a big surprise to see Duvernay push to make any kind of impact right off.
