I suspect this will be in the local news soon, but one of the Travis County District Court judges has found Nate Paul in civil and criminal contempt of court. The criminal contempt of court part provides that Nate has to serve 10 days in jail. Obviously he will exercise all of his appellate / mandamus rights, and I'm somewhat skeptical of whether the order will stand. Still, pretty remarkable stuff.
For the OB lawyers, has anyone ever seen a plaintiff/defendant put in jail when found in criminal contempt? I've never seen it happen in 16 years.
