North Shore is overrated

Wasatch, you've watched one North Shore game and you don't know anything about the team. Trust me, they'll be fine. They'll win a bunch of games this year and will probably win state again. I was at the game. Katy is legit and very well coached. Most likely NS and Katy will meet again in the playoffs at NRG Stadium. My money is on NS in the rematch. They had a rough game out of the box. For anyone to call them overrated is ridiculous. 
Keep dreaming. Their offensive line was dominated by Katy. I know Katy is a powerhouse team, but North Shore is the defending National Champs and has the best player in the country (so to speak). I saw nothing that tells me they are going anywhere this year.
Katy ended my HS football career. They whooped us good in the 3rd round of the playoffs. Andy Dalton was the QB that year. It wasn't so much that they were physically imposing but man were they disciplined.
I didn't catch much of the game but what I did see was unimpressive. Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them play much better going forward, win their district and make a deep playoff run.
Sounds like Damieon George didn't have a great game and he derailed NS potential game winning drive with a unnecessary roughness penalty near midfield with 2 minutes left.
Come on man. And I thought that you followed football. Katy was very impressive. They have a huge OL and DL, good QB, good RB, two good TE's and a play making WR. They are very, very well coached. Katy deserves credit and deserved to win the game. NS got out played and out coached, but to diss North Shore? You watch, they won't lose another game this year and will most likely win state. Your words will come back to bite you. It seems that your feelings are hurt because Evans didn't commit to Texas.
A few years back when people were drooling over Lake Travis, Katy demolished them in the state title game. They are extremely well coached year after year. I thought NS would win but Im not shocked Katy took them out, especially in the first game of the year.
Might want to pump the brakes a little bit there. I think you are really underestimating that Katy team. That North Shore team is far from overrated and I have a feeling come December you might be eating a little crow with those words. That is if they can get past Katy in the playoffs because I guarantee you these 2 teams will meet up again.

I'm never concerned about a kid who doesn't commit to Texas. I'm calling it like I see it. Katy is a good program, I didn't see too many guys on the Katy team that screamed major college potential.
I think you are a huge NS fan and are a bit blinded. Yes NS was out coached, but they were also absolutely dominated on both sides of the LOS. it was pretty bad. I sat here thinking that NS is not the team I thought they were. Remember, I was like everyone else, I penciled them into the state tile to play Duncanville again.
I don't see it, maybe that was their absolute worst game ever, but all I know is if they played Katy again, I really don't see anything changing unless get an infusion of talent on the oline and dline.
We'll revisit this thread again come playoff time. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but you're way off base calling NS overrated, especially when you know nothing about the team.
What was NS's preseason national ranking? What was Katy's preseason national ranking?

So North Shore loses a close game 24-21 to a perennial power house team in the first game of the season and you label them "overrated" and their state championship chances are done. All this about a team that you've never watched in person. Know nothing about their players, coaches or program, except what you read on the internet, and you're an expert. You're clueless about HS football.
The point to be made here is that Katy should probably be ranked much much higher. NS didn't lose much from last years team.
Give Katy credit for being perrenially one of the best teams in the state. When they beat Lake Travis a couple of years ago, Katy was named the national champion too. Katy doesn't suck. Sheesh.

What the heck do you think over rated means? Define the word "rated"? If someone calls a team the #2 RATED team in the country and they get their ass kicked by an UNRANKED team what does that tell you?
I think too many people in this forum have their head up their ass with this team.
The only way I will eat crow on this if if NS wins the state title and ends the season ranked #2 in the country. if that happens then I have to eat crow. But I'm confident, that isn't going to happen.
I don't care about this argument. I just wanna know, why is nobody talking about that Hoff kid from Katy? Dude is a beast and straight up stole the show from Evans. Is anybody recruiting this guy?
No, the only one with their head up their ass is you, and you keep proving that with the ridiculous comments that you make. As the old saying goes, it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
North Shore losing to a powerhouse like Katy by three points is disappointing for them, but not the end of the world. It was game one in a long season. Perhaps NS read too many of their press clippings in the offseason and came in over confident. A couple of other observations from being at the game, Katy's kids had better stamina and were in better condition. Many of the NS kids were dropping like flies and were cramping up. Also, Shadrach Banks, North Shore's stud, game breaking receiver is out several weeks with a leg injury.
I will say that if NS doesn't win state again that the season is a disappointment. However, I'm going to let the season play out before labeling the defending state champs "overrated". In case you didn't notice, there were several highly state ranked teams that went down last night. And guess what? Their seasons aren't over either.
He did put on a show. He transferred to Katy from North Carolina. Kid is a good looking player. Katy has quite a few D1 players on that team.
He's not as flashy as Evans, but kid is a work horse. I'd love to have him in our RB room....like right now. Lol

The North Shore defense I can give them a break because they were on the field most of the second half, but the North Shore offense looked terrible.

Wasatch, just to clarify, North Shore isn't my team. I went to Deer Park. I just happened to go to quite a few NS games and follow them closely. We'll visit this thread throughout the season. If NS doesn't win state again, I'll eat my plate of crow. This team is better than last year's team.
What were each of your predictions last year for the longhorns? That should give a decent indication of who is an accurate judge of talent
NS will probably win the rest of their regular season games. That's not that impressive. Their district consists of:

LaPorte
Deer Park
Beaumont Westbrook
CE King

Combine that with the fact that the NSSH, NS10, and NS9 have a combined enroll over 6K and it's not hard to see them going undefeated every year.
That being said. NS is replacing their entire DL from last year and having to face Katy right out of the gate would be hard for any team.
No team should ever hang their head for losing to Katy by 3 points.

I picked Texas go 10-3 last year. Of course who would have thought we would lose again to Maryland.
How can anyone come away from that game and not think Katy is underrated. They went toe to toe with the defending state champ and pulled out a win. What was most impressive was how they were just destroying the NS offensive line.
So instead of saying North Shore sucks say Katy really came to play and proved they are among the elite in Texas and are a threat to win state.
How about not putting words in my mouth. Go back and re-read all my comments and show me where I said NS sucks. Show me because I never said that. I called them overrated, They were talking national power, they were convinced they would be back in the state title.
Not with that offensive line. I will hold strong with my opinion that they are overrated and I feel pretty strong I will be right at the end of the season.
The reality is, Wasatch, you don't like North Shore, and you took advantage of their loss to call call them "overrated". You've been dissing NS since last year. I can assure you that by what I know and not think and assume, like you, that North Shore is not overrated. They'll be fine. Come playoff time, they will roll.
With all due respect the tenor of your original post and your subsequent posts was to gloat over North Shore being beaten by an "unranked" team and how that proved North Shore is not all that good and they were exposed as a fraud. You may not have used the word "suck" but you might as well have. Its not a stretch to infer that from reading your posts.
Man Katy and Northshore suck soooo bad that both may not win another game this year........said nobody.....ever.
