Given that he was handed the job of play caller and had a short amount of time to change things up, I think he's done a pretty dang good job as it pertains to the run game.
The OC/QB coach coming in would be wise to go along with keeping him around IMO. Involve him in the running game concepts and let him coach the WR's in the OC's passing game concepts.
