I'm down here at CE King for the Rivals Camp Series event in Houston. Check-in is wrapping up so the action at the camp will be starting up shortly. A few notes from check-in ...

Wide receiver Troy Omeire said Texas is in his top three. Texas A&M is in there as well and he's considering a couple others (Baylor, LSU) for that third spot. Omeire will visit Texas on March 9 with his mother and plans to decide this summer.

2021 OL Donovan Jackson continues to have Texas high on his list and talks to Herb Hand quite a bit. Long way to go in this one but Jackson likes the UT staff and Texas' academics.

2021 OL Hayden Conner and Bryce Foster are both very high on Texas. Both will visit Stanford coming up but the Longhorns are definitely top five for both.

I just interviewed Rivals100 S Bryson Washington last week so not a lot new to report there. Texas is way up on his list but he does want to take some time with things. He told me he's considering coming back to UT for the spring game in April, if not before. I still like Texas' chances there.

Speaking of liking Texas' chances, in talking to another Rivals guy, he and I are both going to be putting Texas forecasts in for Joshua Eaton. He wants to take his time with the process and said he probably won't announce until NSD next year, but I really like where UT sits in this one.

I asked DE Vernon Broughton about all the Texas love he's been showing on social media and he said the Longhorns are definitely very high on his list. He's trying to keep an open mind but I'd call Texas the team to beat at this point.

A couple others who are here that were in Austin just last week so I haven't talked to them yet ... Tunmise Adeleye, Princely Umanmielen. Adeleye did tell someone else he may return to Austin for the UT spring game.

DB Jaylen Jones tells me he's still solidly committed to A&M, but said he may take some official visits. If he does, Texas could be in line for one if the staff pushes.

Zachary Evans just showed up. I'll try to catch up with him a little later.
