They both meet at the house and decide to try to make a go of being ranchers. However, they realize that though they have cows, they do not have a bull. So the brunette goes to a cattle auction in a nearby town and purchases a bull.
She then goes to the telegraph office to wire her sister to bring the truck and trailer in order to haul the bull back to the ranch.
She gets ready to wire her sister but the telegraph office says that the cost to wire a message is $.99 per word.
The brunette realizes that she only has 1 dollar left after paying for the bull, so she sits and thinks a little while. She walks up to the counter and tells the operator, “Here is a dollar. Please send the word COMFORTABLE.”
Confused, the telegraph operator says,
“How can the person who receives this wire possibly know what you mean?!”
“Easy!” Replies the brunette. “ If you say the word slowly you get,
“Come For De Bull”,
