Used to be some good roadside parks back then..Find a good spot to stop. Pop down the tailgate, if you have one. Pull out the white bread, bologna and American cheese, chips and maybe even soda pop,, my Dad always drank Schlitz beer and Summer sausage and black skin cheese....

The best ever is about 10 miles North of Leaky...common looking roadside park. You have to walk to the tables.....and then notice a path....following the path about 20 or so yards, you get one of the most amazing views in the State of Texas. you are on top of a bluff in a curve of the Guadalupe River that must be over 100 feet straight down.....awesome!
