(Mrs.)
He's 6 and was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) 3 years ago. SPD can make them a little emotional due to frustration but this goes way beyond that and is getting worse. He has a very short temper, screams, throws things, hits, refuses to obey (such as eating dinner, taking a bath, or going to bed), doesn't make deals or respond to incentives. Two nights ago he was so mad about taking a bath that he tried with all his might to break off the faucet. This morning he wanted McDonald's for breakfast but didn't give us any warning to work it into the schedule. Mr. LLB promised him tomorrow morning, to which he spilled his glass of milk everywhere. Later he called it an accident because it got in the way of him trying to hit Daddy. He's been seeing a therapist but I'm going to switch him to a psychiatrist. Do any of you have experience with anything like this? Any tips?
Edit to add: He's very smart, makes friends easily, and doesn't show aggressive behavior in public.
