OT: Sturgis

Number one or number three. The rest look ridden hard and put up wet, well it is Sturgis so that is to be expected. Saw a wreck yesterday on Highway 12 between Wimberley and Dripping Springs, an old guy on a motorcycle wrecked. He was alive but in a lot of pain, his arm was covered in blood. He looked in his late 60's. I bet that was his last ride on a motorcycle.

Several years back I was north of Rockport on Hwy 35 headed to Tivoli. There was a motorcycle about 1/2 mile in front of me with a man and woman on board. They were headed the same direction as me. An oncoming car veered over in our lane and hit the motorcycle on the right side. I pulled over to help, both motorcycle riders got their right legs sheered off mid thigh.

it took 30 minutes for ambulance to arrive and 45 minutes for helicopter. Call me a wuss but no way I’ll ride a street bike.
