I used to be an investor in two Houston Texadelhia locations. One made me good money, one didn't. We have always liked a Texadelphia cheesesteak from time to time. Today, two of our granddaughters had grandparents day at their school. We picked up Chick-fil-a meals for them and decided to hit the Texadelphia off I-10 and Bunker Hill afterwards. We walk up to the door and there is a sign that they lost their lease and will be moving to a new undetermined location in the future.
I think there have been at least 7 or 8 Texadelphia locations in Houston that have not made it. I know some in both Dallas and Austin are no longer there. Looking at their web site, it appears there are only six locations still open. They are in Oklahoma City, Eastland, Larado, Sunset Valley, Richardson & Dallas. It lists the Houston location as temporarily closed. So none in Austin anywhere?
What is the deal? Are folks burnt out on cheesesteaks or just Texadelphia? I had a Buffalo chicken cheesesteak at Jersey Mikes today instead. Pretty solid sandwich.
