I recently bought a leg press machine to go in my garage because I’m an old and hate doing squats. I’m getting my 13 year old into lifting to get some muscle before 8tj grade football.
His form isn’t good with just the bar when he does a squat, so no telling how long it will take to add enough weight to make a difference. So I was thinking about just putting him on the leg press. Will the machine work his hamstrings enough to not cause an injury on the field, or should he just learn to squat properly.
