Boling ATH Vernon Jackson remains committed to Alabama, but his interest in Texas has picked up and it's being reciprocated by the Texas staff.
Oscar Giles and Craig Naivar did an in-home visit with Jackson this week and Jackson tells me he'll take an official visit to Texas in January. He'll visit Alabama on January 19 and is also trying to visit Oklahoma sometimes in December.
Jackson was also in Austin for the Horns' win over Kansas so things have picked up quite a bit after being quiet for a while (he committed to Alabama in September). As for what it would take for Texas to pull him away from 'Bama, he said it would really have to be a gut feel after he takes his official visit.
